creator.
storyteller.
designer.
Like many others I wasn't sure what I wanted to become when I graduated from gymnasium. I started to study mechanical engineering, as I always was told that I, like my father (who was an engineer), was a problem solver and constructor at heart. But I quickly came to the realization that this was not the path for me. I decided to go where my interest lied and I always loved technology, storytelling as well as digital graphics. I therefor started to become a 3D-artist and I found creativity and exploration in my work. But while I did enjoy the technological and visual work in this field, it didnt feel that it was my work.
I wanted to shape what was being crafted, not make what were other people's ideas. While I enjoy doing digital imagery, it didn't fill my need for cognitive development. I wanted to learn more and understand the viewers/users and became more interested in human interaction and how people use technology. I decided then to become a UX designer.
Throughout my time in university, while becoming a UX-designer I found a new passion; understanding user journeys and creating new designs that are fulfilling needs and are satisfying to use. Today, I am now holding the pencil and I am ready to continue my journey as a UX designer.
